The Grace Book Group cordially invites you to join in a lively, always interesting book discussion on the second Tuesday of each month, from January through October.
Below is the schedule of books to be discussed in 2017, including the date of discussion, the book title, author’s name, and the discussion leader’s name for each month. Come whenever it suits your own schedule, and bring a friend along if you wish.
The Grace Book Group meets in the church parlor at 7:00 PM each month. If you are not able to join in the discussions, the book group’s list will still provide you with some very good reading recommendations.
On February 14 we will gather to discuss When Breath Becomes Air, by Dr. Paul Kalanithi. At the age of 36,on the verge of completing a decade’s worth of training as a neurosurgeon, Paul was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. One day he was a doctor treating the dying; next he was a patient struggling to live. And just like that the future he and his wife imagined evaporated.
