Pledge Forms/Giving Statements
Giving statements for January- September of 2023 have been mailed. If your statement is incorrect please call the church office. Please see the file below for the pledge form, a letter from our Stewardship Team, and Phil Supeck’s Temple Talk.
As you consider how you will support our ministry in 2024, our Stewardship/Finance Team asks that you watch our 2023 Stewardship video. Then, give thanks to God for the ways you were blessed this year and take stock of your ability to be generous. We are grateful for all the support our members and friends have offered to God and neighbors through the ministry of Grace Church this year. Including your regular offerings to support our annual ministries as well as gifts to our Capital Campaign and causes we support from Grace such as Disaster Response, Neighborhood Assistance through the Pastor’s Fund, Church Camperships, and others, we have received over $750,000 dollars of generosity so far this year!
Thank you…and as you look to next year, pray to God and of course, if you are part of a family, talk with others about what your family commitment to Grace’s ministries might be. Consider if you are able to make at least a 1% increase, remembering our collective goal of 100% (all of us) for 1% (a proportionate increase in our gift) Then, please fill in your pledge form as a sign of your commitment, and to help us in our planning, and so that our financial volunteers can help you track your commitment as the year goes on. We will begin to receive pledges on Commitment Sunday, at our services next week, November 12. Again, thank you, and thanks be to God who inspires our generosity and sharing!
Christian Formation
Fall Youth Retreat
Students from Grace Lutheran attended an overnight retreat at Camp Kirchenwald October 28 and 29, 2023. Saturday afternoon was spent outside learning about creation and how to be good stewards of all that God has given us. Saturday evening included s’mores and Evening Prayer around the camp fire before enjoying popcorn, Mark Harman’s cheese fondue, and a showing of The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. On Sunday students worked to prepare and participate in a worship service as we celebrated Reformation Sunday. There was a time of quiet reflection and prayer before the group headed to Camp Kirchenwald’s Fall Foliage Day. Thank you to Vicki Mumma, Meghan Kelly, and Philip Supeck for their preparation and leadership of this weekend in the woods.
