Save the Date Mardi Gras Lunch and Talent Show

Sunday February 11
Noon to 1:30 pm
This year, Mardi Gras at Grace will be another avenue to laugh andenjoy good food as we support our youth’s trip to New Orleans!!! The youth will be helping in each aspect of Mardi Gras this year so your part will be to give a donation, big or small, to help them get to New Orleans for the Lutheran National Youth Gathering in July!

How do I sign up?  Sign up with Kath, the church office, or on the sign up sheet available in the
narthex.

What should I bring? Please bring a monetary donation and a yummy dessert to share – the main dishes will be provided.

Do I need to share my talent? No, bring your laughter and appreciation if you would rather just be part of the audience.

Why does Grace church have it on a Sunday instead of on Shrove Tuesday? We get our sillies out in order to acknowledge that a serious season is about to begin. We do this on Sunday because it is more convenient than on a Tuesday evening.  -Kath Verkouw

Reading the Bible In a Year—Check-In

As we come to the end of our year long practice Kath and Angie have a few questions for you:
1. What did you learn?
2. Was this discipline beneficial to your faith journey?
3. In terms of the resources we provided, what worked well for you? What didn’t work well for you?

Please let us know if you have been participating in this year-long bible reading! You can text Kath, email Kath or Angie, or call the church office.
A very big thank you to Angie for putting in so much work to help us follow and better understand the reading and podcast materials. There will be information in next week’s Grace News on what we are doing for this upcoming Lenten season.
