Monthly Board Feature: Board of Worship–Chair, Keith Miller

Requiem Choir
When a Grace member dies we offer our voices to help lead the musical responses of the
funeral. This is a meaningful ministry which is very appreciated by the grieving families. By signing up you are only committing to be contacted when a need arises. The Requiem choir rehearses a half-hour before the funeral and then participates in the funeral from the balcony. Contact Dr. McConnell if you have any questions or would like to join.

Fishbowl Time Helper

During the 10:30 worship, we offer “Fishbowl Time”, a time apart for children of all ages which lasts from the sermon through to the prayers of the church (about 25 minutes).  During this time we go to a Sunday School classroom and have our own lesson, craft and discussion time.

Here are the ways you could help.

· Sign up to occasionally lead a craft and lesson.
· Sign up to be an occasional adult helper.
· Sign up to help once a month!  Twice a month!  Every week?

Contact Kathryn Verkouw if you have any questions or to sign up.

We need one assistant for each 8 am service and two assistants for each 10:30 am service. If you have questions about being an assistant contact Keith Miller. If you would like to sign up please contact Angie Rabbe.

Join With Others To Make the Advent Wreath

Think you’re not a wreath-maker?  You may be surprised to see how this breaks down into just a few easy tasks.  We will meet Saturday, Nov. 30 at 9:00 am at front of the nave.  Bring pruning shears, gloves if you like.  We usually finish in a few hours, creating the gorgeous wreath that hangs over the lectern for Advent.  If you’d like to participate, let Murray Foreman know.  About a dozen folks have done this previously, but just 6 – 8 is a good size crew.

Needlework & Fiber Crafting
If you know how to embroider we could use some more help making the bibs we give to infants when they are baptized. Contact Angie Rabbe if you would like to help.
If you know how to knit or crochet we could use some help with the following:

· Baby blankets for infants we baptize
· Prayer shawls for our homebound members and those who need extra comfort
