Notes on the 2024 Budget
The income side of the budget is more like a request – IF we are going to spend this much money, this is what we will have to raise, one way or another, and the rest will come from savings. Since we have no way of knowing just how much we will take in from your pledges and offerings, or earn from our investments, or receive from bequests, we make an educated guess. Our income numbers are based on our experience over the past few years, which shows a rising level of generosity at Grace. In 2023, our total income from all sources was $953,175. In 2024 to date, we have received $1,012,504

Upcoming Adult Sunday School—Spiritual Discernment
What does it mean to do the will of God? It’s an issue that is raised every time we recite the Lord’s Prayer. “Your Kingdom come. Your will be done.” we say. How do we know what that will is in any given circumstance? Coming to understand what God wants is known as the process of spiritual discernment. Discernment helps fulfill that earnest plea we pray so frequently and so come closer to the heart of God.
In this Sunday School series we will explore how that process operates, what factors might influence our decisions and how they align (or don’t align) with the will of God. How does God “speak” to us in our daily lives? What “voices” should we listen for? How, by doing God’s will, do we live the lives God wants for us? Come join us as we prayerfully consider these questions.
Join us on December 15 & 22 at 9 am in the Nolt Auditorium.
Outreach
Our New Ministry

Perhaps some would say it’s a stretch to call it a “Ministry” but this porta-potty is provided to our neighbors who are living outside, struggling with all the issues that make it hard to find housing, to stay in housing, to afford housing. They are our neighbors too. With help from other neighbors, and the Congregation Council’s approval last week, we are experimenting with caring for them in this way. —PV
Toys For Tots

Join Grace Lutheran, Holy Trinity Lutheran, and the Lancaster Police Department to wrap gifts for Toys For Tots on Saturday, December 7th at Holy Trinity in the Parish House at noon (lunch will be served)I’d love for Grace to join us and Trinity will provide wrapping supplies.
