Do You Want to Volunteer

At Grace we have “Four Boards” which help us carry out and support our varied and vibrant life here on the corner of Queen and James.  Each month, for the last 3 months, we have been emphasizing one of the four Boards.  Hopefully you have noticed the tri-folds and sign up sheets in the Narthex and in the Solarium where they show which responsibilities fall under their Board and where help is most needed.  In February, the Board of Ministry (BOM) will be the last Board to be emphasized. There are a lot of ministries going on at Grace!  There are a lot of people giving their time and energy to these ministries but we need you!!!  Take a look and see if God is calling you to participate in any new way.  May the Lord fill us and this place with His Spirit.  Amen.

Mardi Gras 2025!

At Grace we celebrate Mardi Gras on the Sunday before Ash Wednesday (March 5) with a luncheon and talent show. We share a lot of laughter and fun before we get to the serious work of Lent. Sign up sheets will be in the Solarium, Nolt
Auditorium and the Narthex. Vicki Mumma and friends will be
supplying the main dishes- we ask that you bring a dessert to share.

Meanwhile, think about a talent or non-talent that will make us laugh, lift our spirits or both that you are willing to share. There will be a sign up sheet for the talent show participation as well. If you have any questions please contact Kathryn Verkouw, Lisa Bisignani, or Angie Rabbe.

Outreach

Souper Bowl Sunday This Sunday!

As the country celebrates a favorite past time on Super Bowl Sunday, we will once again take the
opportunity to help those in need by participating in the Souper Bowl of Caring.

On Sunday, February 9th we will be collecting items for the Community Meals offered right here at Grace Church.  For the Wednesday evening meals, our team can always use spaghetti sauce, containers of powdered coffee creamer, individual cans of Chunky soup or ravioli, and packages of dinner rolls (which can be frozen if not used within a few days).

In addition, we have been partnering with the Parish Resource Center for take-out meals provided multiple times per week, for which the following items are needed:  snacks in individual bags (chips, pretzels, etc.), dessert or candy in individual servings, granola bars, and individual bags or nuts or trail mix.

If grocery shopping is not your thing, we will also encourage folks to purchase gift cards through our Grocery Card Project, which can be used to purchase items for the above-mentioned meals or distributed to folks in need by Pastor Verkouw at his discretion.

And certainly, feel free to show your support of your favorite team by wearing your favorite team’s jersey or colors.

Our Grace Family

Thank You

Thank you to my church family for all the well wishes, prayers, and cards. They were very much
appreciated as I recover from my total knee replacement. I’m feeling a little bit better each day and hope to be back in church soon. —Cindy Labezius
