Calling All Green Thumbs (and Aspiring Ones) – Help Our Gardens Grow!

Spring is here (hopefully), and our church gardens are waking up! We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our crew and help us cultivate these beautiful spaces and ensure they flourish throughout the season. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or simply enjoy spending time outdoors, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
We need help with:
Weeding and mulching: Keeping our flowerbeds tidy.
Watering: Ensuring our gardens stay hydrated during the warmer months.
General tidying: Keeping the gardens looking their best.
No experience is necessary, just a willingness to lend a hand. Instruction and most tools are provided. You can work alone or help others who are already working. (This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow Grace members!) You’ll contribute to our church’s beauty, and enjoy the fruits (or flowers!) of your labor. Grace’s gardens are planted specifically to be pollinator-friendly, so you’ll also be
lending a hand to Grace’s own honeybees, as well as other pollinators.
Even if you can only spare a few hours a month, your contribution will make a difference.
Contact Patti Hartman for more information — email: peaheart115@gmail.com;
text: 717-917-9059; or catch her after the 10:30 service on Sunday.
Let’s work together to make our church gardens a vibrant and welcoming space for everyone!

Grocery Cards

Grocery cards are available at both services on Sunday mornings. You may order cards by calling Duane and Kitty Weiss. Remember all purchases of cards realizes 5% in cash back to Grace. These funds are used to support our many ministries.
PRC Housewares Pantry
In 2021 and 2022, PRC helped to furnish new apartments for a number of households at the request of local social workers who routinely saw people moving out of homelessness, or into new living situations, where they did not have the basic furnishings they needed or the resources to purchase them. The more we worked with people transitioning out of homelessness, the more we realized that this is a larger, ongoing need that requires an efficient, ongoing solution.
PRC has started a pilot program Housewares Pantry. Referrals for the Housewares Pantry come from social workers and healthcare providers. A live photo inventory is online so that social workers can work with clients to choose exactly which items will work best for them.
Angie and Kath would like you to (if possible) to drop the items off at the PRC instead of at the church office. If you have any questions please contact Angie, Kath, or the PRC.
