Another need made known to us: A refugee family who recently experienced a car accident that has all 4 income-earners in the house out of work due to their injuries. The family speaks Kinyarwanda and the children speak minimal English. Also, while in the hospital, it is possible that they could have been exposed to COVID, so this would require the extra caution of dropping the groceries on the porch and making no contact at all – just a phone call to notify them. The list of items they have requested from school staff who made a couple of drop-offs immediately after the accident are as follows:PotatoesBulk Rice (jasmine or basmati, if possible)BeansFruit & Vegetables (apples, kale, carrots, onions, etc)Beef & Chicken
I am bringing the first delivery today but would love to give another delivery on Thursday or Friday. You can drop off donations at the office. There is a fridge/freezer downstairs to keep the foods safe until delivery. Let us give thanks for opportunities to show God’s love and bounty. Kath
