Weekly Reflection

“Jesus’ resurrection was an incredible moment. It transformed our lives, our world, and eternity. And no one saw it.

The story we read in the Gospels ever Easter tells us of the women’s arrival at the tomb on Easter sunrise, where they find Jesus is risen. His resurrection happened sometime during the night. The women were witnesses  -they saw Jesus and talked with him, so they had proof. Everyone missed it because no on was there. Because no one was looking.

Looking is both a discipline and a skill. It’s something we can do intentionally and something we can get better at if we

practice. That’s true of all kins of looking, including looking for Jesus. One way to get better at this is to observe other things and look for him in them. Spring is the perfect time for that.

As the new life of spring erupts all around us, may it help us see the new life Christ’s resurrection brings to our world and our lives.”

Thank You

Grace members,
I want to thank you for the gifts given to me in recognition of my years of service as your treasurer. I have always admired the print of the church I was given. Of course, monetary gifts are always appreciated,
When I started as assistant treasurer many years ago, I never knew I’d be here almost thirty years later as treasurer. I had two assistants and three software packages during that time. I want to especially thank Marge Worley for being my assistant for over twenty years.
I leave you in good hands with Phil Supeck. He brings lots of experience with him.
Thank you again for allowing me to serve as your treasurer during this time.

-Jane Sheckard, your soon-to-be retired treasurer
