We need recipes, photos, and stories! Do you have photos or stories from meals at Grace? We would love to include them in our book! The above can be emailed to our Assistant Program Director Angie Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org or be placed in the recipe boxes in the St. Peter Chapel and the Narthex. All recipes are due to the church office by November 20, 2019. Please contact Angie with any questions, email@example.com or 717-397-2748.

November 1, 2019 (Time after Pentecost—All Saints Day, Year C)
Ephesians 1:15-16–I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, and for this reason I do not cease to give thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers.
Paul tells the believers in Ephesus how he remembers them with thanksgiving. Similarly, on this All Saints Day we remember our loved ones who have died, and we give thanks for their lives.

Youth Trip to Eastern State Penitentiary and Mother Bethel AME
Nick Miller, Chloe Brubaker, Sanya Mumma, Lisselle Bertrand, Quentin Miller, Meghan Kelly, and Keith Miller joined the youth from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church on a trip to Philadelphia on Saturday, November 2nd to visit the Eastern State Penitentiary and to learn more about the criminal justice system in the United States. They also visited Mother Bethel AME to learn about the founding of the church by former slave Richard Allen and the effects of racism on Philadelphia’s colonial worshippers. After returning to Lancaster they enjoyed a debriefing and dinner with other participants. Please approach them to ask about their experience—I’m sure they would love to tell you what they’ve learned.
