Sunday Fellowship
Join our hosts, the Grace Bell Choir, for a delicious pork and sauerkraut lunch on Sunday January 5th following the late service. We ask that each family bring a dessert to share.
You may also RSVP by calling the church office at 717-397-2748.
Also joining the Bell Choir will be Pastor, Kathryn, and Vicki who will share their experiences from their mission trip to Puerto Rico. Please come to learn about Lutheran Disaster Relief, the families that were helped, and about the work that still needs to be done.
New Congregational “Picture” Directory—Additional dates!
There is still an opportunity to have your picture taken for the church directory. Terry will be available on Sunday, January 12th & 19th. from 8:30 a.m. to 10:20 a.m.; then again from 11:50 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., scheduling a sitting every 10 minutes.
Location for the portrait sessions will be the back corner of the parlor.
Home bound members will be visited in the new year to have their portraits taken. Please call the church office at 717-397-2748 to arrange a time and date in order to be included in the directory.
Worship Volunteers needed in 2020!
· Communion Assistants – It is a meaningful experience to serve at the Lord’s Table. The ability to speak the words “the blood of Christ, shed for you,” and to pour or share a sip of wine is all that is needed!
*Needed at all three services
· Communion Set-Up and Clean Up-Volunteers – at our house, everybody helps with the family chores. We should all make ourselves available to take a turn. *15 minutes after each service.
· Sunday morning opener / coffee set up – Denny has some Sundays off, and this would be a big help to the Pastor and other staff to have someone take a few laps around the campus to open the doors, put up the signs, turn on the lights and set up for coffee and tea. *A few Sundays a year.
· Sunday morning closer – see above, except in reverse!
· Fishbowl Volunteers – Help encourage and corral our young children, and get their activity done during the sermon, hymns and prayers.
*Each week during the 10:30 a.m. service.
Please contact the church office to volunteer! 717-397-2748
